In a world dominated by cell phone photography and social media, the Fujifilm Instax Mini camera is an amazing and totally fun little camera for people of all ages! It’s a refreshing throwback to the days of instant film, and brings a touch of nostalgia to the fun world of photography. As a photographer by trade, I’m always looking at different cameras and every few months I have a “I’m going back to shooting film” phase.

Well, then I realize how much work it takes (and money) to develop film, and I hop right back into digital photography. But there is still part of me that is attracted to film. So a while back, I decided to buy myself a Fujifilm Instax Mini camera. It reminds me of my childhood, when we all had those Polaroid cameras that shot the picture right out the front of the camera, and in just a few seconds, you had your picture!

No more sending your canister of film off to Wolf Camera or dropping it off at the drugstore and not seeing your pictures for a few weeks while they were developed in a lab somewhere! So I figured it would be money well spent to get one of these cool cameras just for fun.

I never dreamed that I would eventually be the owner of two Fujifilm Instax cameras, and a person who gave them out as gifts to different people over the years. My first camera was very quickly taken over by my kids! It seemed that every time I wanted to snap a quick pic, my little Fujifilm Instax was missing, so I gave up the battle and bought another one for myself!

With the Fujifilm Instax Mini, the magic of instant photography is right in the palm of your hand! You don’t have to send your film off and wait for it to be developed. After you click to take the picture, what you saw through your viewfinder is instantly turned into a physical print. I know many of you don’t print your pictures anymore and just keep them on your phone or on a digital frame.

Trust me when I say you should print some pictures! The most popular books in my house are my photo albums and my photo books that I make each year. Everyone (including me) loves to flip through the pages of a photobook (or album). It’s just like when you get your school yearbook. How many times do you look through that? A lot, right?

Next time you take a bunch of pictures at a special occasion or of your family, print some out. Just tack them to a bulletin board or hang them on the fridge with a magnet. You’ll be glad you did. And just think…if you take the pictures with your Fujifilm Instax camera, you won’t have to worry about printing them.

So next time you’re thinking about and wishing you had the ability to print your pictures, remember this blog post about the Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera. Its instant prints, user-friendly design, and creative possibilities make it a perfect choice for capturing and sharing special moments with friends and family.

Grab yourself a Fujifilm Instax Mini camera and get out there and take some pictures. You’ll be glad you did! If you need some updated family photos, you can find me over at Paula Mason Photography.
