Sports Pics…

Great day for sports in the Mason household!  Today the games over-lapped, so we had to divide and conquer!  Mark took Zach to baseball, and I took Morgan to soccer.  I think I got some pretty good pictures.  Not so many of Zach though – we got there just in time to see him hit a triple and make some great plays.  But not much camera action.  By the time we got our snacks and grabbed a seat, the game was almost over. The Supergirls did not win, but my sweet little superstar has such a great attitude –...

‘Home Alone’ in Winnetka

Here are a few pictures from our Chicago trip – most of them taken at or near my sister’s house in Winnetka.  It is such a wonderful little neighborhood.  Seems like a good old-fashioned town.  Can you believe they still have a milk man there??  You know…the kind I used to have when I was little.  The same man drove the milk truck through our neighborhood for years, and he dropped off whatever milk my Mom had ordered on our doorstep.  If we were around when he dropped it off, we could chase him out to the truck...

Hubbard Woods in Winnetka

When we were visiting my sister in Chicago, we spent a good part of one day at Hubbard Woods Park – just down the street from her.  I know you can see all the snow on the ground in my pictures, but we were able to walk to the park – about 1/2 mile from her house.  It was snowy, but not too cold to get out and get some fresh air.  Besides, my kids wanted to be out in the “real snow,” as they called it.  We rarely get snow like this in Texas, so this was...

What is the Willis Tower in Chicago? The Willis Tower is the tallest tower in America, so when you are visiting Chicago, it is impossible to miss this building!  It is 110 stories in the heart of downtown Chicago.  When reading up on the tower, I learned that in...

First Day in Winnetka…

On our first day in Chicago (actually Winnetka), we played at Aunt B’s house!  Zach and Morgan were so excited to play in “real” snow in Aunt B’s yard with Aunt B, her son Greyson, and their dog, Tex! When Logan and Greyson got home, Morgan was excited to have a friend to color with, and Zach was excited to learn about throwing stars and knives and making them stick in the fence!!! So…being from Texas, we don’t get much snow.  And when we do, it’s about 1-2″ or it’s just ice!!  So before we traveled up to Winnetka, Illinois,...
